Teacher of Mathematics

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality and enriching mathematics curriculum, ensuring the academic progress of students, promoting the subject more widely and encouraging the pursuit of university degrees and careers related to mathematics as well as supporting higher education applications. Furthermore, the successful applicant will be involved with our outreach work, inspiring students across the county to study mathematics at an advanced level.

The Mathematics department is looking for an excellent classroom teacher, with a high level of communication and interpersonal skills, with a relevant degree and teaching qualification. The successful candidate should be able to display a high level of skill in the management of learning with a commitment to a student-centred approach to the learning process. You should have an awareness and understanding of current developments in the subject area, the ability to manage student progress and achievement, and have a high level of organisational and administrative skills. You should have the ability to set and achieve high standards for yourself, colleagues, and students.
You should display the values, attitudes, and behaviours consistent with the school ethos and have a commitment to equality/diversity and the safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults.
Terms and Conditions
Hours: Between full time and 0.5 fte – We will always try to accommodate the preference of the best candidate(s).
Salary: Paid on the Sixth Form College’s Salary Structure pro to £33,465 to £51,714 per annum (dependent upon experience).
